There are two captain's meetings for this tourney. You only have to attend ONE of them, though if you wish, you can attend both. The first will be at Appomattox River Company in Midlothian VA.
The address for that meeting is 14213 Midlothian Tpk Midlothian, VA 23113. This will begin at 6:00pm on Friday April 11th. There will be a pot luck dinner and shad seminar given by Rob Choi.
The second meeting will be held in the Ancarrows Parking lot at 7:00am on April 12th.
Anncarrows Landing is located east of the I95 overpass in downtown Richmond. It offers a concrete ramp and ample parking. There is also a concrete wall about 100 yards west of the boat launch that offers plenty of room for shore fishermen. During the shad run, this is a favorite among locals to get out and get on the Shad, Herring, Perch, and Catfish that inhabit the James River during March and April.
Directions to Anncarrows From I-64:
To reach Ancarrow's landing from I-64, take I-95 South to the Maury Street exit. Head east on Maury and follow the road around the municipal sewage plant. Follow the signs to the parking area on the left.
To reach Ancarrow's landing from the south side of Richmond, take I-95 North to the Maury Street exit. Head east on Maury and follow the road around the municipal sewage plant. Follow the signs to the parking area on the left.
Parking is available for 200 cars.
After Party/Awards:
The after party will be held at Mekong Restaurant off of Broad St. The address is 6004 W Broad St, Henrico, VA 23230. Mekong has excellent Vietnamese food and is known for their wide selection of Beers. Be sure to take care of your server and tip well. Mekong was nice enough to donate the use of their restaurant for this event and we need to take care of them in return.
